i think you mentioned in a previous thread that you put the velo orange long reach brakes on a bike recently.

i'm considering upgrading my current house brand mushies to something more substantial and would be interested in a ride report if you're so inclined. shimano seems to be the standard for braking, so i'd probably woulda just bought the 650 if the velo orange brakes weren't so purty.

they're awesome! i'm shopping around for some new calipers on a different build, and would get these again in a heartbeat if they made them in regular length. they're just that cool looking (as well as functional).

my only suggestion would be to definitely swap out the oem pads that come with them for kool stop salmon's or black's (or other pad types if you're running carbon wheels). much better performance with that setup.
