Depends on which style bar/jukebox you patronize. I sometimes go to Wolfy's 50's drive-in/bar and it seems like Johnny Mathis is the up and coming singer of choice.

It was really cool on Top Gun years ago! :)

Can I break the civility rule here?

Do that and I'll reveal how many times in a row you're said to have punched up "YMCA" the last time you were in a bar with a jukebox... ;)

Good choice! I play it nearly every time I take my wife out on a date where there's a jukebox.

Clearly y'all don't spend much time in bars. The All-Time #1 has to be:

......

....

....

'I've got friends in low places' by Garth Brooks.

My personal guess would be "Margaritaville". Jeez...there's gotta be a way to find out! I like all your choices. Jeff N.

I'm not sure you'd find it on every jukebox, but I'd bet it's on most of them:

How many of you are old enough to remember when juke boxes housed 45's.

Better yet, how many people remember the "song" made specifically for juke boxes - 3 Minutes of Silence.

I never heard of that song, but I go to a Diner in PA that has a jukebox full of 45's. All oldies, that's probably in there.

AS they say "back in the day" I used to hang out in this seedy dive bar that seemed like it only had Sinatra records. It was a great place to sit and drink.

I had a buddy that would drop $5 in the juke at our local pool hall when we were leaving and play Meatloaf's epic 15 min, "I love do anything for love" version 20 times. They had no over ride, and would have to unplug the machine.
Dirty trick if you ask me. Everyone that bought a song after him lost it when they unplugged it.

Here's a couple of sites that Google found. You can argue whether or not the list is correct.

# 1 song would be difficult to get but gotta believe if you chose an Eagles, Van Morrison or Garth song you would at least cover the top 10.

i'm pretty sure i've never seen a jukebox without any michael jackson song from thriller. at least one of em must be on there. unless you're in a hip young people's bar in williamsburg brooklyn.
