another bikes-in-garage organization question

i'm trying to get my bikes somewhat not ugly in the garage and have one bike that's a persistent problem. that's my pull-the-kid-in-the-trailer bike. i ride it almost exclusively to that end so i almost never detach the trailer. it's easy enough to do, but i always end up knocking over the bike into another bike or into my car when doing so, and this is exasperated when the monkey gets excited and climbs in beforehand. so far i've been just leaning it up against the wall with the trailer attached, but obviously this takes a lot of space.

what's everyone else do? detach every time and hang it?
leave it attached and just lean it? something else?
