Now, this would have been pre-welding class days, right? When you were still super-gluing them together? . . . ;)

It looks like a beautiful well cared for bike. The seller says it is a 53c-c st and a 49 top tube, although the top tube doesn't look that short to me. It looks almost square.

On second thought, maybe not. I just measured the tt and st on the screen and the tt is shorter. This is the first time I'm disappointed I don't take an 49 cm top tube.

Funny, almost every bike I see
that I'm interested in is a 59 or 60cm. This is the
first that comes close to fitting me (although 49 tt would be really
cramped).

It is a cool bike, however the bike has some suspicious rust on the non-drivetrain chain stay...(see the darker area in the picture) and considering the rust there, (I did get a quick response and pictures of the rust on the bike, much of which is superfluous/standard scrapes and dings that have rusted) and the lack of answer on if the frame has ever been treated with framesaver (or linseed oil or whatever) in it's 24/27 years (seller claims it is an '81, I bow to e-richies greater knowledge of the bike!) of life would make me concerned about the amount of rust that *might* exist *inside* the tubes.

This bike would fit me well...and I'd love to have one of e-richies creations to ride without the long wait...but that rust is too much of a concern for me with that age steel frame.

Good luck if you decide to bid!

E-Richie...you don't look old enough to have been building bikes almost 30 years ago.
