Three girls on 500 mile bike trip gets run over by a mini van driven by a 86 year old man: one, Faith Dremmer (17), gets killed and other two girls hurt. Caught bit of the story of Dremmer and her mother on the news...sad. It seems he's just getting a traffic citation for improper lane usage. The old man appears to be a good person and apparently no criminal intent/wrong doing there...however it bothers me and doesn't seem just somehow that this matter be closed with a funeral (+ two girls recovering) and a traffic citation. I guess it's just the stoic reality of justice that cannot consider things like emotion, loss and such...leaves empty feeling.
