Is that a bad idea? My saddle is a bit worn in spots and I wondered it the polish will come off right away (on my shorts) or if a good quality polish will hold.

It is a bad idea. You will be able to see where you applied the poilish- it will look worse than wear- it will come off on your shorts.

I scuffed the edge of my Terry Fly and used Sneaker White (the bottled dye) to cover up the marks. Once it dried, it stayed put.

problem with polish is that it will generally rub off white onto other things. a clear/neutral polish will work better atmo

I dont know what the saddle looks like but sometimes 'worn' is just shorts rub+sweat. The Mr clean eraser seems to work for me sometimes. Just clean it after with water so you don't soak up chemicals.

Thanks guys. I will try the magic eraser. It is mostly from my shorts rubbing on the inner thighs.

I really love the look of a shiny nice bike with ancient, trashed saddle that has been shown a lot of love and a lot of miles! :p

use the shoe polish and only wear white shorts

The key is probably dye instead of actual polish to prevent transfer.
A product like Sani-White (used by doctors & nurses in the past) might work if still available.

I used a magic eraser last night and it cleaned the saddle nicely but the wear areas are, well, wear areas. It actually does not look bad and the saddle is overall in good shape. I might just stop before I mess it up.

I am really only putting it on my spin bike I am just a little anal.

Great idea. What can't magic eraser make better?!
