Just finished building my Colnago Master X-Light PR82 56cm. Full Campagnolo Record 10 speed and Campagnolo Neutron Ultra Wheels. What does everyone think?

I own one and would sell it if I wouldn't take such a bath on the resale.

StellBlue why would you sell it? Don't you like it? Have you had problems?

Evening All

I'm obviously new here, I came here because I was told the classified section was great and I needed some things to finish my "new" master. Anyway they both look great and hopefully I'll be able to post pic's of my completed Master in the next couple of weeks.

P.S. If anyone has a threadless precisa fork please let me know

Chris

tidsr - It looks great...and it is just my size :) I have a C-50 in a 52s which matches pretty closely to a 56 std.

VQDriver,

What's a sloping TT?

Yeah there are alot of options out there and plenty of lighter bikes for the price but i love old style things and went with the master. It's my second only road bike ever and i plan on keeping it for life and handing it down to the children one day.

sloping top tube.
i've been lusting after a master x light but couldn't pull the trigger on a frame that i wouldn't ride.

The Colnagos are really coming out of the woodwork lately. All beauties too it seems. Very Nice!

Not a huge fan of the geometry compared to my main ride. I seem to prefer over-sized tubing as well. Is yours DT15V or the new tubes?

Each to their own. That's what makes the world interesting. Would be SO boring if everyone liked the same things.

Yes StellaBlue, mine is the DT15V tubing.

I have a Bianchi SL aswell (below) and i must admit i think the Bianchi climbs better than the Colnago even though the Colnago is lighter.

Most bikes these days have the oversized tubes and massively oversized bottom bracket area's. The Colnago master x-light seems annorexic in comparison.

Congrats to your new rig. It's a sweet ride.

They look unreal. Do you have 2 master X-lights or you just changed the build? I really like both but probably prefer the second one a bit better.

Very nice.

I would love to build up a Molteni one also.

I have a 65cm Moltini (See "Masterful 'Nago" in the custom bike section of this forum) that is a keeper. Love yours too! Enjoy. Jeff N.

Great looking bikes. How much do they weigh with modern parts, if you don't mind my asking. I've an '85 Super with SL tubing that I was thinking of putting DA 7800 group on with some DT Swiss hand-built wheels.

Can't resist posting a pic of the original from 1982 or thereabouts:

I've recently swapped out the aero post and the saddle for more period correct nuovo record post and cinelli unicanitor saddle. I'll take a white-garage-door shot in the next week or so.

Hi dd74

The Colnago Master X-Light came in at 8.2kg's (not sure in pounds) and my Bianchi is approx 8.6kg's as you see them with pedals, drink bottle cages etc.

Not superlight but not heavy either i don't think. And they ride beautifully.

Hi JeffN

I had a look in the custom bikes section and i cannot find your bike. I really want to see a Molteni coloured Master built up.

Is it possible for you to post a picture in here?
