The short version:

Half of a long piece of aluminum eavestrough fell from the front of the house. We screwed it back in securely, however, the spot where the bend occured has a hole in it, right in the corner.

Any advice on what patches it up the best? We tried silicone caulk, but with all the rain we've been having, it's dripping through.

THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

I would get a piece of metal and form it to fit using pliers. Then use some roofing tar or sealant to coat the patch and the gutter. Install inside the gutter with sheet metal screws (also coated with sealant) screwed from the outside. Your ability to form the patch will really define the quality of the seal.
