I understand that steel bikes are pretty easy to fix if one gets a dent on a tube. I have been told that the frame makers can easily remove the damaged tube and put another.

My question is this: can they do the same with Ti bikes? Also, if I have a top tube with zero degrees, can they put a new one with 2 degrees?

Sorry for the ignorance, if any...

Ti bikes can be repaired , my old Legend Ti had a new seat tube swapped out due to a weld failure. Now as far as replacing a TT and having the tube re-mitered for a different pitch , That may depend on where the Butt in the ajoining tube lies and if you replace the ajoining tube ( ie: the seat tube ) you may as well replace the frame as it will start to cost you some $$.

Lets say Serotta could install a sloped tube, wouldn't you also then have to alter your seat stays. I am guessing that the TTand seat stays would then be attaching to the seat stay 2 cm apart? I think that would look funky. IMHO
