Hi all,

I have a nice Campy UT 10 speed crankset. I would like to upgrade the remainder of my drivetrain to 11 speed. Will a Campy 10 crankset work with Campy a 11spd drivetrain? I hope that I don't have to get rid of my crankset. Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it will work. I tried it and had no problem. The 11 speed chainring teeth are .1mm thinner, since the width between the inner plates of the chain is a little narrower.

I advise against using the big/big combo. That's always been recommended, but more important with a tight fitting chain.

I have had a 11s Chorus group with a Record '10s' compact crank on my Moots demo bike for over a year and many test rides w/o any problem whatsoever.

Campy says to get new rings though it sounds like it works fine for others.

Campy also says that a 10 speed RD won't work, but the difference in the actuation ratio is small. Theo nly real requirements are new shifters, cassette and chain. Even the 10 speed chain is workable, but not ideal.
