How do you all calculate "pro-level" or custom bike pricing? Do you go from a total profit margin for the complete bike? Add up pre-determined price of kit to the MSRP of frame (Colorado Cyclist style)? Same margin on complete bike as on the frame?
The reason that I was asking is that with a busy shop we've always found it difficult to do instant bike quotes. I just wrote a little excel-based program that does it all for us automatically in about 30 seconds, based on our system. Just seeing if there is any need for something like that in other shops.
