Is it possible to roughly approximate one's average power output knowing height, weight and pace over a given time trial-like effort?

You might want to try this site;

http://www.analyticcycling.com/

I think you can plug in relative variables for height, weight, terrain and spped and it will model power.

It won't be precisly accurate but it is relevant.

Here is another site that can help you figure out your power/watts.

Thanks. I'm dreaming of spring and thinking about an excellent stretch of road up to Amsterdam and back that would be a representative time trial strip. It has a monster shoulder and being generally straight it's a great head down and hammer road. I can't remember but it's probably close to twenty miles round trip for that stretch. Any uphill or upwind effect on the way out would be negated on the way back. For testing fitness and progress it's superb.

You have been training indoors too long. Don't you know you can't bike to the Netherlands from where you live?
