Nuts! My Serotta stem is too long. Now what? [Archive]

So I bought this very cool Serotta stem for my Paramount, had it installed with much duress to my LBS, and now find that at 130mm, it's just too long. So I'm trying to find another 1-inch quill stem in Ti, but seem to be having no luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions where I can look for a 1-inch Ti quill stem, preferably 100-110mm?

Buy yourself a nice Nitto Pearl or Technomic Deluxe in the size you need. Then keep an eye out here, ebay, etc and a Ti stem will show up.

2 to 3 cm seems like a lot of change if you thought 13 cm was what you needed. Are you sure 10 or 11 is correct now?

Any chance you can test the right length with an easy to find (and cheap) stem? Maybe your LBS has one you can try for a couple of rides.

What is the reach on your handlebar? You may have better luck trying to find a bar with shorter reach.
