I prefer my tandem mountain bikes with less spokes, radially laced.

The top tube looks odd. Other than that it's a cool bike.

Am I to assume that the decimal point is in the wrong place?

If a tandem MTB is what you desire, Sherwood makes a spiffy FULLY SUSPENDED one at Ventana, and you can get one with a nice build for about 15% of the Colnago...

Sure but it probably wouldn't have that awesome offroad 53/38/32 carbon crankset or those old 2 pot XT brakes, XTR 950 series shifters and derailleurs. That stuff takes time to find and costs big bucks. ;)

Anyone else concerned about the spoke count?

That by itself ..... no. How big are they? I can't tell. I do know there are plenty of cars and trucks driving around with 5-spoke wheels.

Shimano made 16-spoke wheels like that for tandems but I thought they stop making them. What I don't like at all is the cross-spoke arrangement with spokes attached at the rims' side. Looks odd and doesn't work as well as they thought.

Ugh. I can see the novelty value of this bike, but frankly I don't really think of either Colnago or Ferrari as being particularly knowledgeable in building MTBs and/or tandems. Also, it's not that pretty, nor would I expect it to be all that collectible. I'll save my $35K for something else.

I don't think it's really being sold to be ridden, its sold to be cool, parked in a very rich persons beach house garage.

Either way I think it looks cool.

I like the fixed-length stoker stem installed with a shim instead of a standard adjustable stoker stem. I have the same arrangement on my Co-Motion and like it a lot better. Not having to adjust the stoker bars to keep them level is nice.

Ditto..

I was hoping for $35k it came with a lifetime supply of "coaching" from Dr. Michele Ferrari. (but see it actually comes with a 'decal' from the auto manufacturer) Wrong Ferrari.
