in other gruppo news 3t's new website is up too....they have some really weird looking handlebars which seem to solve all the ergonomic problems associated with "ergo" bars while some how making them even more hideous to the eye.

e-R,

Columbus no longer (officially) makes fork blades or steer tubes! However, I am having my own custom "SL" blades made as we speak. They are due to arrive in about two weeks, and these babies are Suh-WEET! They will be availbale in limited supply, to my KOF buddies only. ;) No worries, 'll have plenty for theis years team bikes !

I may do an "SL" A-head steer tube as well, we'll see...

Ciao,

the fork blades?

they're the two plastic things attached to the other plastic thing that goes through the headtube. they're available in what may or may not be a 43mm rake....the important thing is you'll be able to feel the difference in ride quality compared to what you use now. here's the proof the jerk came up with to describe the difference in resonance between a carbon fiber fork and steel fork as per your request. also attached is a photo of new fork colombus has designed for you. it'll allow you to adjust the ride height and rake to finely match the fork to your frame design.

I'm not sure what you mean. That stuff is not for sale in hte US, and the "fork blades" are just round 24mm chain stays.

I tried to get Columbus to sell it to me, but tehy have some "exclusive" arrangement they have with their Japanese distributor. So, I will have my own "exclusive" stuff made for me and my customers only.

Serotta AL was built by kinesis...I know they spec'd it but the tooling/building was done at Kinesis as well as the forks...

Fork blades? You mean people actually make forks? I thought they just came in boxes.
