Hey there, after seeing some of the beautiful fixed gear bikes on the forum I decided to build one up as a commuter or a "whatever bike". I have an old frame that needs blasting/repainting and im heading to the powder coating shop later today. Anyone who looks at pictures in this forum knows that most of you have an excellent eye for the right color combo's.

Im looking for some color input based on the decal colors. I obtained the decals from the italian man that made the frame back in 83-84'.

Im thinking of possibly RAL 2004 (pure orange/molteni orange), RAL 5001 (green blue) or RAL 5023 (fern blue). Basically any color can be ordered in.
RAL CHART: http://www.rpaengineering.co.uk/motorbikes/documents/RALChart.pdf

The bike will be built up with chrome forks, silver components, 36h MA-40 wheels, undecided if saddle and bar tape will be brown leather or white.

Thanks for the input! any other powder coating tips would be great too.

I like the cream, light ivory or pearl white. I think that would look good as a commuter. I have had white cars and they always seem to look clean longer, even if they are just as dirty.

There is a good thread here with white bikes and so I would go that route.

Cheers
