I've never seen the tour up close and personal, but I will be in bordeaux in 2010 and want to make it over to see the tourmalet stage :banana:
need some veteran advice.
using the days around july 22, what is the best game plan?
how to travel from bordeaux to tourmalet and back (rental car?)
how to get to a good spot on the climb w/ road closures (probably sans bike)
where to stay- camp? ski resorts? other?
just some help/tips in general would be great!
it seems so complicated, but maybe it's not.
