Nah, been on "The Mentalist" all season and it looks like now that Jay l
Leno is gone, there will be lots of work to fill in the 10:00 PM slot.

Don't worry, the wives get used to it. I've had my girlfriend for 10 years. :)

In the long run a Porsche should be less expensive than 1/2 your net worth.

Other than 997, what's your new lady friend's name? Break her in nicely. I would love to see her specs as well.

Have fun Steve.

Of course, on occasion, the mistress should be taken out.

I suggest here:

Lots of dancing, drifting and an occasional spin. Plus 100 octane (highly recommended) to get her nice and...comely. ;)

997 has a nice ring to it. I think I'll just call her that. As for specs: www.porscheusa.com will give you a wealth of information and specs on all versions of the 911.

Mine happens to be a Carrera 2 Coupe. It has a full leather interior, 6 speed manual, bi xenon headlamps, power seat package and 19" turbo wheels. Oh, it has the same paint scheme as the Porsche GT.

Thanks!

Steve

Why the change of heart?

Glad you brought it up. The Cayman is real close to a Cayman S, so I went along with his initial choice. But then something occurred and SoCalSteve lost all mental capacity, and he bought a 911 instead. That is almost unfathomable.

Now as a moderator, I must decide what to do. Should I allow SoCalSteve to post again? Who knows what he might do or say next. Delete his posts? Ban him from the forum? Vaporize his beautiful car? Hmmmmm.....vaporize his car. That will teach him a valuable lesson....... :) :)

"My other car is a Porsche"

used to be kinda cool, I experienced it for close to 30 years.

But do each of us really need more cars out there? How responsible to the earth is that? Pay up some carbon credits perhaps.

Getting rid of my Porsche was a blessing in multiple ways. Now pay me some of those credits for shopping on a bike.

This is a bike forum. Congrats for adding another a pollution spewer?

Pretty judgemental considering you know nothing about me or my lifestyle. My SUV is 6 years old and has 36,000 miles on it. That's less than 1/2 the mileage of the national average.

I commute to work by bicycle whenever possible.

And, the Porsche was purchased used. It already existed. I did not add anything to this earth, it was here already...considering how little I drive, you should be thanking me for owning 2 vehicles as neither of them will get used much....

I'd appreciate it if, in the future, you get all the facts before you lay judgement. Feel free to contact me via email or pm. I'd be happy to share the facts of my life and lifestyle with you

Thank you,

Steve

As to pollution spewers,,,,,Chill,,,,,, Folks are too easy to condemn others.

The emissions from that vehicle are no more and in fact less than most vehicles out there. Additionally until, if we ever do, reach the mass transit convenience of western Europe the car will be here for quite some time.

Electric Cars are great in theory, but keep in mind they need electricity and as of now more than half of that comes from coal.

As to paying you some credits -- - how about some understanding and good will to others.... ( I will give you a credit for that and a glass of red :D )

This is the Serotta Forum and we talk about many things and have many opinions. in addition to bikes, Feel free to log out if there is not enough bike talk in the winter for you.

Have a good day and a glass of red....... Pete

Don't forget the less than green, toxic batteries.

CNG is a better overall choice, imo.

and I hope that there is a new process for recycling those 1000s of cars. And this is not to mention the toxic processes used to create them

That previously-loved Porsche 911 is über-awesome and it was a very green vehicle decision.
SoCalSteve is going to enjoy many wonderful drives in that fantastic car!
