yes, i guess they were good. i think the problem is that everyone i know who has tried these has been on a well made bike, so there was very little vibration to dampen anyway. i'm sure they would work wonders on an entry level production bike however.

I spoke with a Shimano employee who commutes to work. He said they work. The demo a store can do is to drop a bar without them and then with them the sounds are very different. Who knows? I'd love to see some scientific proof.

Interestingly, I note that the brass ones (presumably the heavier of the two) cost more than the aluminum ones.
