I spoke a while back to my sister (who lives in Maine). She was able to get through to my mother, and both my mother and father are fine. Lots of minor damage inside the house as things fell out of cupboards and broke when they hit the ground. All in all they seem to be fine, with no major structural damage to the house. It’s dark now so they’ll have to wait for daylight to know for sure. My mother said that it was shaking so hard they couldn’t stand up.
They were lucky. For what I’ve seen on the web, there is lots of damage.
That poor country. After all the big hurricane hits recently, they get this.
