Anyone out there own a similar 1986ish era Serotta in pearl white? I am guessing the year based on Shimano 600ex parts on the bike that it is an 1986.
I have been documenting the re-birth of this bike on my blog, but so far have not decided between duplicating original white pearl paint with gold pantographing and blue decals or doing a 7-11 tribute bike with Serrota decals in white/black.

I was there when Eric Heiden in 1980 won his first Gold Medal so that might be cool. And I got in a wreck in the El Tour de Tucson with Alex Stieda, so the 7-11 tribute would have personal meaning too.
The serial number is 51001. Let me know if you have something close to that serial number, that has an actual history. All I know about the bike is the Columbus SPX/SLX tubing by checking the seat tube , down tube and stays for the 6 raised edges.
