For my new Hors Cat I require a straight seat ipn with no lay back. The dealer suggested the Thompson Elite but this is ali which I think might not look so nice against the straight carbon frame.
Its having the Wound up fork on front.

Anyone no of a nice straight seatpin that would look good on the bike ? apparently serrotta don't do them anymore :-(

Many thanks,

Russ

Am I brain dead, the Hors is a titanium frame is it not? I think might not look so nice against the straight carbon frame.

Yep, Ti throughout. But the Wound forks are carbon with the CNC machine head I believe (thats whats on their web site anyway).

The Ali Thompson might mirror the CNC bit of the fork I guess and the silver Chris King hubs. But thought carbon might look better to mirror the forks.

Thanks for the suggestion Marron, I'll take a look.

Check out Easton's '05 seatpost. There starting to doing some pretty fancy stuff (nano in the epoxy) with their carbon products.

Syncros makes a carbon post with 0 setback.

LP Composites carbon 0 setback http://www.lpcomposites.com/

They might need to be cut down.

I vote Thomson. You can't see the post when you are riding the bike. They also come in black. The Thomsons are as light as most carbon posts, considerably stronger, cheaper, and functionally superior. Also, you can change your seat height without worrying about cracking the post.

Check out the Thomson Masterpiece, a beautifully machined post and only 158 grams. Lighter than most carbon posts.
