Does anyone have experience with, or opinions about the Stella Azzurra Rapido compact crank? Also, what is the functional difference between ISIS and Octalink bottom brackets. Should I choose one over the other?

Thanks,
Jeff

Someone in the industry suggested that if I got either to go Isis. The opinion came from the hypotesis that as Shimano goes more and more to outboard bearings (at least at the high end) that eventually their bottom bracket could become extinct in the high end groups.

Does it come in square taper? Personally I'd go with that and get much better bearings. I've yet to hear a Campy person say they flex their cranks in the bottom bracket. Plus the Campy position is since more crank meets the square taper surface it is just a stiff.

With square you can go Phil Woods or Campy. :bike:
