I know there are at least a few Western PA posters on the forum, but am curious if anyone would have a reccommendation of a good primary care physician who has experience treating cyclists..

Haven't had a physical in, seems like, forever and want to pick someone who might have a cycling/endurance athlete perspective.

Thanks..

Clearly I am not the one to ask. I got lost by your first two words- Pittsburgh MD. I thought to myself that I have heard of Pittsburgh and even heard of MD. In fact, I live in MD (Maryland). But I never heard about Pittsburgh MD. Then after reading your post, I realized you weren't talking about MD the state at all. And to think, I am allowed to be a moderator on this forum.......

In need of a MD in MD,

Sandy

"cycling perspective"

as in, "common problems cyclists experience?"

or, "hook me up with EPO, doc"?

Just joshin' you. You might try asking around some of the clubs in the area, there may even be some doctors who ride who could give good advice.

Freddie Fu is a cyclist and a legend in the 'Burgh sports medicine scene. He might be tough to see, but he has a world class staff at UPMC. You might also want to call Steve Kann at Tri-State too. Steve is a devoted runner/athlete and he will be able to guide you as well. Tell Steve that I sent you his way.
