I think this is one of better kits to come around in a while. They need to drop Wiggins back off at the set of Austin Powers though.

I think it looks super sharp with the matching bike. By the way, those black and blue dogma's are really, really nice lookin. I am pretty sure you could put the dudes in burlap sacks and they would still look sharp.

I'm just glad to see teams going back to kits with black shorts (Quick Step's new kit is similar with a blue top and black shorts), if for no other reason than I won't have to see a bunch of wanna-be's sporting all white team replica kits and showing their crack when it rains..... :butt:

I like the kits...kind of classic and understated, as opposed to their bikes, which look like they've been designed for myopics to read without their glasses from 1000 meters.
Wiggo's tie and suit even match the kit...nice. As for hair, there's been far worse in the peleton (think early Cippo, etc).

...where is the ode to the Union Jack?
A nice Pete Townshend shirt would have been nice.

I also like the kit. It doesn't look like barf, which is more than you can say for about 99% of the teams out there.

Thumbs up. I have always thought the Adidas 3 stripes had a classy feel to them too.

Now Brad's hair, that's another issue. Dang.

I don't mind it as it seems to have a little Rapha to it...i.e. solid colors and subtle stripe and such. Slideshow from the press (journo) event...

I'm surprised to see Addidas kit. I thought they got out of the bike kit biz when Mavic came out with their own line. Glad to see it, i like Addidas and Mavic bibshorts. Sky's stuff is cool, as for Wiggo's style, it's certainly an individuals' statement.

I like it too. It's understated and clean and the light blue and black looks good together. Cool touch with the rider's name and national flag along the jersey side panel.

I am a bit more in BBD's camp on the kit. I get the understated feeling, but it just looks to be missing a finishing touch of color proportion, maybe driven by the sky lettering/font. The blue band in the front that stops at the side also seems a bit hesitant. I might have liked a mottled medium gray with that insipid blue to make it look less like generic black stock with something slapped on. Still, I've seen worse, and I'm glad they'll be easy to spot in the peloton.

The bike - I like the frame but I don't like giant white letters on black frames (SO generic) and the blue does not transform that equation. Like the BoB Prince/Dogma, I think too much black on that frame takes away from the curves and the possibilities.

The team car - perfect.

i'm a huge fan of simplicity. i like that there are a few, spare logos on the kit. but there is a subtle difference between simplicity and severity, and these feel just a bit too severe and humorless. the best graphic design has a touch of wit, a bit of artistry (often simply because it makes the viewer smile). while i like the uncrowded vibe, i wish there was a smile somewhere in the design. and sorry, for me, black socks and any kind of shorts scream "i'm an old man in loafers in florida headed for the early bird dinner special."

I'll vote "yay" on the front of the kit and "nay" on the back.
The vertical stripe down the middle of the back clashes with everything else.
All in all, not bad, and there will be much worse out there next year.

kit is not too bad. Agree that something isn't quite right with it, but it's ok. And it'll look nice with the bikes.

Was anyone else impressed looking at the list of names on this team? Wow, I didn't realize they were so deep with talent.

From www.britishcycling.com ......

.....Team Sky go on to say "We want to be the best team the world has ever seen. At our centre is a simple principle. We call it ‘The Line’. It informs everything we do. We express the philosophy as follows:"

This is the line.
The line between winning and losing.
Between failure and success.
Between good and great.
Between dreaming and believing.
Between convention and innovation.
Between head and heart.
It’s a fine line.
It challenges everything we do.
And we ride it every day.

It's the Paul Weller look. I think Wiggins is a The Jam fan.

The jersey is better than the majority of the peleton and Wiggins is going to be an unattractive man regardless of what his hair looks like.

Anyone know when the Dura Ace wheels Sky is riding will be available? I have the 7850-SLs and I've been very impressed with the quality of Shimano wheels.

I agree that the kit is fine except on the back, where it looks like Pepe LePew.

OK, so the back is white to cut down on the heat of an all-black kit. (Duh.) But the stripe?

Just weird, I say.

The kits look great. Really like how they have the rider's name on them. Wiggins.....yeah, kind of fugly. Looks like the lead singer of Platinum Blonde (in his current state).
