i'm surprised more riders aren't cracking up after some of those glorious wipeouts. is it possible to take oneself that seriously after flying end over end at 3 mph?

At least two major races in the 35 + cat were won on a MTB this year. Those races were in pretty bad conditions and the rider was a pretty strong rider.

At States, the condition were slick as you see but the there were some dryer longer sections that the MTBer's didn't have a chance.

Disc brakes too. Guess it wasn't a UCI race.
