Hiya - I have seen various bikes successfully use integrated forks on non integrated headtube/headset combos. To my eye the newer easton fork looks good on a non integrated bike though it is designed for integrated.
I mounted up an integrated supermuscle fork but on a non integrated HT with a king headset thinking it would look good. It looks pretty nasty. Any headsets you can think of that would 'blend' the fork and ht in a nicer way? The lower cups of the king are very round - leaving the flat portion of the integrated crown exposed and looking nasty.
Of course this is an alternative to shelling out for a whole new fork... just wanted to explore some options. I seem to remember seeing a headset where the lower cup was tapered real nice and would blend real good! .. can't remember the brand!
Thanks in advance for any advice you'd have.
