I'm not trying to offend our Vermont members but this was sent to me by an attorney from your state.

Nah, he's just working up some low-carbon-footprint supper.
Impressive!

if there's one group of people who could possibly stand behind him it has to cyclist (hunters would probably wonder why the people in the car aren't making off with his loot)

I'm fairly sure that's a tradtional Soviet training method.

Maybe the deer was still alive, and he was just taking it to a greener pasture.

offend? That guy's a freakin stud! Put him on a decent bike and give him a CAT 2 license already.

My favorite is still the Saab with NJ plates cruising down the highway with a cow strapped to the roof...about this time of year back in '97.

I also had a buddy while growing up in the Adirondacks that used to hop on his steel Trek hardtail (mid 90s, vintage) and pedal further north to go bear hunting. A phenomenal athlete, I used to ask him what he would actually do if he ever got one. He looked at me dead-pan and explained that he'd field dress it then throw it on his back and pedal back home. He never got one while I knew him, but it certainly wouldn't have surprised me to hear tales of his success. And before you go painting too clear a picture, it's worth noting that his dad was a physician and his sister an Olympic athlete. In other words, this guy definitely wasn't raised with dueling banjos...

Having grown up in northern Minnesota, I assumed that hunting on a bike was normal. I never drug a deer home behind me, but I do know that duck legs wrap around the handlebars pretty well.

I got this from a friend who said it was from Wisconsin. Same DWI observation. I'm thinking up by the UP, not much snow on the ground, must be August.

Chris Horner, looking for a way to get in on the "train like me" market, just put out a book: Going uphill with an ungodly amount of weight on your back. This guy probably just picked up the book.

 Sheeeat...
This snap shot of Americana could have been taken anywhere in the Midwest or Appalachia. As a matter of fact, the fellow on the bike reminds me of a methamphetamine addict who lost his license and his wheels, not to mention his ability to hold down any form of legitimate employment. Even though this guy is probably on probation, he decided to sneek out for a day of poaching, without the benefit of a hunting permit, not that his court conditions would have allowed such a permit to be handed out in the first place.
Yep, looks like a typical Missouri hillbilly to me. Probably even has a role of duck tape on his person, just in case of an unforseen emergency.
