Will a frame with these dimensions: 53CM CTC,CTT 56CM AND THE TOP TUBE IS 21 3/4"" fit someone who is about 5-5, 5-6?

Thx.

probably be to big, depends if the rider has a long torso or really likes to be stretched out. I'm 5'-6 and the shop tried to put me on a 54 top tube it was too long, not comfortable.

that would be too tall for me, and i'm 5'7", but then again, i haven't evolved so i have stubby legs. :)

doh, the ctt measurement threw me off... the tt length works for me though, as aforementioned, i have a long torso, and short legs.

Yeah, the frame is for me. A Schwinn Paramount/Waterford as a stablemate to my Schwinn Paramount Ti/Serotta. I have a longer torso, but shorter legs.

The Waterford's standover height is about the same as with my Ti, which is a 53cm. However, it seems the tubes are a bit longer in the seat tube and top tube sections. Waterford must have had different geometries than Serotta for the Paramount, maybe even different sizes of 53.

The top tube is 0.75-1.25cm too long. I'll assume the seat tube C-T measurement is to the end of the seat tube rather than the top of the top tube i.e., an extended seat tube. If so, you should have top tube clearance. Otherwise, I think it's too long for the average 5'5"-5'6"er, including me.

Ummm, don't y'all need to know if the top tube is sloping and if so at what angle 4,7,10 degrees...can make a HUGE difference in the length of the seat tube.

Also the angle of the seat tube will make a difference as well as to the perceived length of the top tube. A 73 or 74 degree STA could feel a few centimeters longer than a similar 71 or 72 STA.

A Schwinn Paramount by Waterford is not likely to have a sloping top tube.

Right. No sloping top tube. Butted SLX, old school. But alas, I don't think it will work out. :crap:

That's what I suspected, an 80's Paramount with a 55 TT. I have a 56cm Paramount OS with a 56 TT (longer TT than the previous SLX frames) and a Waterford with the same geo and I'm 5'-9", so yes, might be a little big. Too bad, they're nice bikes.
