Just thought I would tell you what we were up to in Austin today -- Tour das Hugel. I got 112 miles and although they say it's 14,000 ft of climbing, it felt more like 9,000.

Everything about this ride was awesome. It's free, nice folks around Austin set up six rest stops with bathrooms, food, and water, and families and kids came out to cheer us up some of the nastiest grades that reached above 20%.

I would guess that we had about 250 starters. No word on the number of finishers.

good job finishing that. i managed ~60ish before heading back. i've done all those hills at one time or another, but stringing them together like that is painful. can't wait till next year.
