given that a derailleur hanger is bent in on a carbon frame, where else should you look for damage on the frame itself? it is a replaceable hanger, but the der itself looks oddly unmarked.

Run your hands over the tubes and feel for imperfections... Also if you hit something from the front, look at fork alignment.

It might assist folks if you say what type of crash and where the bike came into contact with the "crash" point. With the hanger bent, it could be something just in that area...

Are the wheels straight when you spin them - ie do they rub either brake block

it's a used frame so i'm not familiar with the incident. fork looks/feels fine as does the chainstays and seatstays.

only the hanger appears to have sustained any damage.

although i've not tried it yet, i'm told that one of the best methods for finding flaws in c/f is the tap test. tap tap and listen for "dead spots" or a lack of resonance where there should be one...well, i guess this is hard to explain over the web.

used frame = inspect it fully--pay lbs to do it if any doubt.
