The CAS has rejected David Millar's appeal of his two year suspension for EPO use. But they have also given him a victory in moving up the start date of his suspension so he could now technically compete in the 2006 Tour--if anyone would have him.

So what say you pundits to this latest twist in the drug fight saga?

If he has continued to train, then I would think many teams would be happy to have him. They don't seem to have a problem hiring other dopers (Virenque, Zulle, Roy Munson, etc etc etc.).

I believe tugboat has been refrained from any movement as he is still under investigation by the UCI thinktank for doping....... :crap:

If they test 4 times in a year, you are allowed to throw out 2 of the samples, and incinerate the other two. :)

I mean really, what a joke. Allow drugs in sports. It's only a matter of time.

Presumably Millar will get a ride, but with two years out of competition, who is going to be crazy enough to start him in the TdF? With EPO he was still getting dropped in the mountains, what good is he going to be with no racing and (presumably) no drugs?

Not all teams want mountain climbers. Some teams want sprinters, etc.
If millar can return to form, he is a threat to take the yellow in the prologue.

Remember a few years ago when Lance and Millar were buddies and he tried to get him for Postal? I wonder if Lance knew (or cared)? Hmmm...

About what? Bringing another doper on the team to join him? He bought Landis and Tyler on board, he obviously doesn't care about dopers on his team.

Oh come on.......Lance has 'never tested positive'.
Lets not go making silly accusations. The guy is squeaky clean...
He skipped the Olympics because he couldn't spare the extra week away from his kids.........

I prefer the strongman competitions that seem to get so much TV time.
Nothing like watching a water retaining, gram of test./week, bloated idiot seeing how long he can hold an anchor off the ground...
