I am still somewhat new to cycling but I have a question.

Can you use campy cranks with Shimano or Sram everything else? To me, it seems like a "a chain is a chain" and that they are the same? I have never used anything campy so I have nothing to go on. Just curious....... :rolleyes:

Yes, you can.

The cycling gods might strike you down in mid-stroke, but yes, you can.

Actually, the cycling gods are a varied mix of deities and spirits. Some throw thunderbolts and others make you fall in love.

And that's why mixing parts from different companies appeals to them.

I knew that the cycling gods wouldn't be too pleased with mixing parts. It was more of a curiosity thing then anything....

so sram shifters and RD wouldn't be kosher with Shimano FD and Brakes as well as a campy crank? :fight:
