So, I'm going to buy a compact for my 2000ish Concours and was wondering what the bottom bracket is? 68mm English I assume, but just want to make sure...

Should be a safe bet.

Yes, absolutely 68mm English thread. You would have to go way back before 2000 to find a Serotta with Italian threads, if at all. Maybe some super-early, Cinelli-lugged, built by Ben...
