I need a recommendation for cross levers. I've seen cane Creek and TRP, but are there any other quality ones out there? Thx, Jason.

Hey Jason - I have had a few. I have the TRP Carbon's on my race bike and like them a lot. I also have the Paul's on my single speed, they are nice and solid aluminum with the ability to use V-brakes or regular canti's.

I guess I like the TRPs more since they have barrel adjusters built it.

Paul cross levers are my favorite, it's nice to buy something that was made by hand in america for a change, and the difference in quality's very obvious.

Do you actually use them in races?

I just took the carbon levers off my cross bike. The more I rode/raced, the less I used them.

Following the recommendation from xJoex I got a set of the TRP levers for my cross bike. They're great and fairly simple to install. Best of all, I actually now feel like I can slow down on the down hills.

You should be happy with them.

I never got into cross levers...I've taken them off 2 bikes I've purchased second hand. To me, they just add a sense of vagueness and resistance to the braking. After removing them, I felt an immediate improvement in the direct and positive feel with the brakes. This is true with Cane Creeks and Pauls. And yes, they were installed correctly.
