Hey folks,

I was just tuning up for the North Shore Century tomorrow and noticed that the threaded tube (what do you call that anyway), that the RD cable/housing terminates into that is spring loaded and threads into the derailleur has snapped right where it goes in. Probably another casualty of shipping my bike a couple weeks ago. Does anyone have any idea if that's a part I can get or am I just looking at replacement?

Thanks in advance!

If you go to the campagnolo website and download the spare parts catalog for derailleurs you will find the replacement part"s part number.

Your local campagnolo dealer will probably have the part in stock. I've aways been able to get campagnolo replacement parts within 24 hours.

There is a high probability that the cost of a new adjuster will be close to what a used Centaur deraileur will cost off eBay.

Yeah. I bet that barrel adjuster will cost you between $15 and $20 bucks. Best to find a busted Veloce or Mirage derailleur on eBay and salvage for parts. At least you'll end up with some spare pulleys, cage, set screws, etc for the same $ :D

Here's one for $6

Your lbs may have one in the junk box.

I had a Campy barrell adjuster break that same way. I just replaced mine with what the bike store had in stock. I like those better and have never had any problems with the non-campy barrell adjuster.
