My commuter gets the most miles. It's a Gunnar Crosshairs with Record 9, Avid Shorty 6 squealers, Joe Young wheels (PW hubs, supercomp, Velocity Deep V), Niterider HID with universal taillight, PB Superflash, PB fenders with a mud and "buddy" flap, cheap no-name rack, Regal saddle, Thomson stem, and Salsa short and shallow bars. My normal commute was 42-46 miles round trip depending on the route I took home.

I've got a Big Leg Emma with Chorus 11 too.

My every day bike, every summer for the past several:

http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh252/ramboorider/P1000050.jpg

My occasional bike, for rainy days, pre-meditated dirt roads, light touring, travel, or days when I just really want stupid low gears.

http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh252/ramboorider/P1000053.jpg

Neither is new, neither is likely to ever be replaced, but never say never I guess. The only thing substantively new this summer are the wheels (both are tubeless sets) and the saddles - the Koobi saved my ass this season.

Thanks Dave - nice of you to say. I've actually had a couple of others that I thought were better LOOKING (being aesthetically partial to lugged steel) but none that rode as well. Which I coulda had done in steel, but just didn't. But these have been ridden often enough and long enough now that they're starting to get that "worn-in" look now and they look pretty good in their own rite.

I'll probably show em again next year when the same or similar question comes up.

Nice rig. I dig how you mounted your wrench to the bottle cage bosses. I guess the hub is a flip flop? I used to ride m-bars with my fixie, but I missed the position on the top of the bar near the stem too much, so I eventually switched to bullhorns. Have fun with that. Riding fixed is pretty addictive, innit?

Any thoughts on the differences between the Parlee and the Meivici you'd like to share? Both look fantastic! Thanks! It's hard to draw a direct comparison since the wheels and tires are different. I'm planning on doing an A/B ride one of these days (MV/Hyperon; Z3/Edge; MV/Edge; Z3/Hyperon), to see what I think. I can say that these two are the nicest riding carbon frames that I own, owned or have test ridden. I'm still kicking myself for missing JackB's Crumpton when jimcav sold it. :crap:

I can switch back over to my VaMoots SL as my go to bike. I am leaving for California tomorrow (1 week) so she won't have to stay in the box much longer.
