Man!!! I was curious if mike had his new website up yet so I took a look and it appears to be up. I found some very drool-worthy examples of Mike’s work. Of course, the fact that I ride an Effin Zanconato cross doesn’t make me biased or anything ;) …hot looking bikes are hot looking bikes. Period. Hopefully he’ll have his shop back up soon.

As is obvious from my tag line, metal bikes are not my thing, but if I were to falter in my plastic quest, Zanc is the way I would go. Most steel bikes bore me to look at, but not Zancs. Not sure why.

Strange, but... carbon bikes have that effect on yours truly. ;)

I have to agree with you here. I love most all bikes, but there is something about Zanc's builds that really catches my eye. He is meticulous and his attention to detail is phenomenal. The one phrase that I hear over and over from well known folks in the biz to knowledgeable cyclists is...."Mike gets it."
I love to go back and look over the posts of the Effin Cross Bike Build. I think that attention to detail really shows through....

(I know there is another thread that precedes the Build II thread but I can't find it at the moment.)

I think mike's work has improved since my build. This isn't a knock at all on the Effin Cross Bike. I love it and have no plans to part with it. I just think Mike has improved and refined his vision and process....it's a natural evolution and refinement at work. If I was in the market for a custom road frame right now, Zanc tops my short list. Hmmmm, custom road frame.... :D

Hey, I'm a Zancophile! :D
