Good Morning,

So I have a couple questions and am seeking some advice. I have a Curtlo frame on the way and it will be my single speed commuter/cross bike. I really like Thompson stems, but they are 31.0 and I just bought a Nitto bar which is 26.0. So 5mm seems like way to much to shim up but has anyone done this before is it safe or not recommended? I would supose as long as it is properly torqued it would be ok, but... I don't like breaking parts and crashing either.

Also does anyone have to sell or know where I can find a set of Campy Record O.R. brakes or Euclid canti brakes? They don't have to be NOS just usable.

Thank You in advance.

I used one for 6 months on my cross bike. No problems to speak of.
