I have little, if any self control. Just sold a wheelset on the forum. Instead of getting a check from paypal, I left it in the account. Then I happened to see a titanium Fierte in my size on ebay. I have no need for what would be my 5th frame. But, what a deal I thought--less than 25% of retail. And its shiny. I could always sell one of the steel frames.

With 2 minutes left, I caved and tried to enter a bid. The computer froze.

In a panic, I quickly entered a bid on my blackberry. Victorious. There is no cure for this disease.

Now the real fun begins. I am thinking Campy 11.

P.S. Anyone know anything about the Kestrel forks that came with the Fiertes a few years back??

Anyone know anything about the Kestrel forks that came with the Fiertes a few years back?? If you're referring to the EMS Pro, the owner of my LBS (who has 30 years in the business, and a very good rider) said it's one of his favorite carbon forks.

I think the Kestrel EMS Pro forks, both the standard 1" (no longer available for whatever reason. They get top dollar on Ebay if uncut) and 1.125" OS, are the most underrated forks out there. I happen to swear by them...bomb-proof and as stiff as they come. There IS a slight weight penalty, but other than that...

I was just thinking of starting a post just like this after my 30th view today of the classifieds.

Then you are on the right board. The primary requirement for joining and staying on this board is a deeply enbedded obsessive-compulsive personality. With very strong tendencies to possessing and hoarding all sorts of "goodies".

BTW- Campy Chorus 11 is SWEET! Go for it, you won't regret it!

The best cure is obsessive riding! :)

My future ex-wife frowns on this more than my purchases.
