Georgia cyclists sure had a good weekend:

John Murphy (Athens, GA) won the Pro Crit National Championships
Tina Pic (Dahlonega, GA) won the women's Pro Crit National Championships
Phil Gaimon (hometown - Tucker, GA) won Mt. Washington

Good Georgia cyclists need to come to St. Augustine, Fla., next month.

There's a great two-day omnium (http://www.staugustinecyclingfestival.com/2009/06/florida-cycling-points-series-racing/) the weekend of Sept. 12-13.

I remember when John was the smart-aleck kid on the winter group rides who would light people up when it came time for sprint workouts. Kid has a great motor and was on a much higher trajectory than most at his age.

It's been fun to watch him rise through the ranks and great to see him taking the national title.
