A damp Summer night, 6 boys (9-13 yo), two tents, an outdoor fireplace, plenty of pop, S'mores and fireworks.....it doesn't get much better. Hopefully I'll get some sleep....after scaring the daylights out of them in about 15 minutes, of course. :cool:

My boys are grown (20+), but I always found that having my own tent when they were that age helped me to get a little sleep.

It's a lot of fun. We do the same on a regular basis on the William farm. :banana:

Back in the early 60's I was given the pup tent made of heavy canvas and waterproofed with something that almost felt like axle grease and smelled like a wax factory. Great times running around the neighborhood at night.
