Made it meself; I'm dangerous with a sewing machine. The Christophe strap is mandatory for cinching.

Next, using tarred yacht marlin does an elegant finish, but you have to watch out for this stuff when first wrapping the whipping, the tar is really sticky. Once in place I had just a little clean up to do with degreaser then I used a rag to wipe off the excess. Given time, I think it'll grow hard and become less tacky to the touch.

This is a Velo Orange homage to the Brooks Swallow, at considerably less cost I might add. It has stretched a lot, but now is behaving itself and is quite comfortable.

I trust you left enough on the yacht so as not to impede its function?
Ahoy, Captain!

to whip an entire schooner. Much to my wife's consternation, I've been busy at it, lashing down everything needing whipping. Take for instance, all those audio/video remote controls, they are now attractively bundled together with the added bonus of now being slip-proof.

Nice! Back in my Navy days, I spent a huge amount of time putting Turks Head knots on handrails. I always thought it would look good finishing off a leather tape job, plus you could do it with thin leather lace for that extra touch.

that's a nice wrap! Any chance you took during pics? I'd love to do that myself...
