Lately I've been ramping up the mileage and my inner right knee has been paying the price. Although, I think I've discovered the culprit. I'm currently running a pair of Sidi Dominator 5's mated to a set of Crank Bros. Eggbeaters.
Here's the problem. The spindle is really wide. Placing pressure on my knee from the large q-factor.

So, any recommendations on a better set up? who makes a good narrow spindle pedal that works with the Dominators?

Thanks again,
Michael

CB sells spindles that are 4mm shorter for a total of 8mm reduction. You might be able to modify the cleat some for more lateral movement to move your feet closer.

It looks like the eggbeaters are the only shorter spindle spd pedals around that I could find.
I measured the Atacs, XTR, Eggbeaters and the Quartz, all have the same spindle length give or take a mm or so.

The eggbeater adjustable premium cleat makes a 2.2 mm difference per shoe.
After a few days off and swapping cleats the knee is feeling much better. Crazy what 4.4mm will do.
