As many of you know, I'm into British motorbikes as well as the pedal variety, and am currently restoring my '51 Vincent Comet. The Vincent Motorworks is quite a story and for those of you interested in all thing mechanical , it's quite a good read.

Anyway , the Vincent world is littered with a odd array of characters who have been involved with the marque since the very begining.
There is currently a little blurb about one of these guys who passed away recently and I think some of you would like it.

He's the gent in the picture on the site's front page.
Sounded like a real man.
RIP
Enjoy

I'm sure you may already know this but Jay Leno has some nice Vincents that he profiles on his jaylenosgarage.com site.

but a Vincent 1952 Black Lightning was the basis of one of the great rock songs ever by Richard Thompson. "Red hair and black leather, my favorite colour scheme"

(Sorry didn't see the previous YouTube link. Check it out.)
