Where can i find info about the composition of bike frames. I am high school student, and cyclist, so for my final paper in chemistry I am trying find out information, about the alloys that are used in bike frames, and the properties that they have. For example, why is Chromium and Molebdium used in steel alloys?
Thanks in advance

booyia,

Bet you don't get that kind of service in high school. The Serotta forum is frequented by a lot of really knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly people. I am simply amazed at what these people know and how freely they share it with others.

They let me post and read the threads here. I am most fortunate to learn from the guys and gals that respond and know so much.

Jeff- I agree. Case closed!! Onto the next thread. I just responded as I am so impressed by members of this forum.

Weisan- Please try to give a more complete and helpful answer next time. :) :) That was some answer. Wowee Wow!!!!!! You are the MAN!!!

Jeff, I am a bit embarrassed, least to say. Sandy, can I borrow your blanket? :p

booyaii, hope we didn't scare you away. As you could tell, some of these may not be directly relevant, so take what you can. If I find anything else, I will let you know. And I am sure others will chime in too!

Good luck with your research! ;)

That young man who has not yet thanked the honourable Weisan...

Probably not finished reading all that reference material yet.

Weisan, there's some great stuff in there, thanks for sharing.
