I was debating with a friend about Colnago frames. He said the Extreme Power frame does not have a weight limit. I thought all Colnago frames had a limit. He also said that the extreme power had a lifetime warranty? I questioned that as well. think it's 2 years. Can anyone clarify?

2 years, no weight limit.

yep. 2 years. no weight limit. I have a 2008 EP and love it. I weigh 185 lbs.

How does the EP handle and how was the sizing with a Colnago?

....on the Colnago handling weight, at least the C50! I ride with a guy that weighed in at 300+ when he bought his C50 and has never had an issue with the frame. He's at about 260 now and has had the frame for over 3 years without issues. Probably not the rider stats that Colnago had in mind when they designed that frame but I'm sure they'd be happy with the results!

It's a couple years and I believe for North America, Colnago America add a year through authorized retailer.

I have not seen a weight limit for the EP but Colnago is closed for the day.

As for handling etc the new bikes are stable secure rides. They're not twitchy at all (for those that are fit well). The EPS has comfort similar to the 50 series but better stiffness (without being over the top) than the EP.


As for Colnago's sizes, Colnago have 22...

I would say that's "good"...

One thing is the stated warranty and another thing is using it. I have had two issues with Colnagos under warranty and although they have covered the repair or replacement the turn around time is atrocious. In both cases (E1 and C50) it took over a year to get the issue resolved. It is a tribute to the ride that the Colnagos are still in my stable.

Luckily, warranty claims for the c-series Colnago frames are pretty rare..the REAL warranty with these bikes is that they are the most tested, proven series of frames in professional racing ever....

My C-40 handles my 6'4", 245 lb azz without problems. I think it may be a little out of warranty though. Jeff N.
