Ride Suggestions: Four Seasons, MO

My wife and I are planning on joining her family near Four Seasons, MO over Labor Day weekend. I'd like to bring a bike with and go for a ride. Any suggestions?

I did a quick internet search (mapmyride) and found one road ride in the area and a moutain bike loop at Lake of the Ozarks State Park. I enjoy both road and dirt riding. If I can only bring one bike, which shall I choose?

I would bring the MTB and hit the trails. I am very comfortable riding in traffic of all types but those narrow rural roads around the lake are going to be filled with trucks pulling boats at 70 mph after days and nights of drivers drinking beer to excess.

Other weekends you are going to be fine. I just would avoid Memorial, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends.
