This is the current carbon offering with the Paramount name. Does anyone know anything about these bikes other than what the ad marketing claims? Like who and where the frame is built, and if it's really a bike worth $5K+ (well, $4K now that it's been discounted).

I have a Ti Paramount built by Serotta. A wonderful bike. But one day I think I should try the new carbon, particularly now that I've sold my old carbon Peugeot.

Thanks.

Jeez! No answers? I didn't mean to offend anyone. ;)

I'm only thinking of it as a beat 'em up crit bike.

Road Bike Action Magazine had an article about this bike within the past 6 months I think. I just remember the end of the article saying something like, "the paramount is back". Thats all I can really remember off the top of my head. maybe see if RBA has a website listing?

They are made in Asia, "many" by Giant. And that article is over a year old, before this model was available. Not sayin' that's wrong, just not definitive.

My LBS sells Schwinn. I'll ask them what they know about the source. I'm also curious about how they feel about competing with Performance.

Road Bike Action did a test and I thought I could find it but alas I could not. I do remember they liked it alot.
