I am doing a bit of research for my wife who is trying to address her feet going numb. She has been using Shimano shoes with Frogs, but we are looking for something a bit wider. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Many people live by Sidis but Specialized shoes have a roomier toe box than Sidi.

Agree, Specialized has roomier toe box than Sidis. I have narrow feet and always got a hot foot with my Sidis, whether it was a women's or men's last. Inserts may help her some, too.

I recall my old Diadoras were pretty wide.

Have her check out the Team Estrogen forum. Several threads there on the subject.

If I understand correctly, Sidi half-sizes have the same sole with a wider toe-box than the non-half size. I usually wear C-width women's shoes, and my 40.5 Sidis are perfect. It's a much closer fit than the Shimano shoes I had a few years ago, but conforming to the foot rather than tight.
Good luck!
